Steve's appreciation for the outdoors and his enthusiasm for woodworking began at a young age. Growing up in a rustic cabin by a lake with a father who was a carpenter, he cultivated a love for life beyond the city and for crafting with his hands.

Over the years, Steve has taken on various roles that have shaped his expertise and skills, leading to the creation of this distinctive niche company. His experiences range from serving as a backcountry ranger for BC parks and working in the residential construction sector to building remote campgrounds in the mountains via helicopter and running a backcountry boat access construction company in Ontario.

Through these experiences, Steve has mastered the art of transporting materials into the backcountry and ensuring projects are completed efficiently.
